I suppose I might take prognostications like this seriously if market share for home automation, distributed audio, lighting control and service provider fiber based deployments market share were currently in the double digit range and growing at double digit rates- until then, its pure pontification driven by casual deskjocky observation.  5 years, seems more like 20 = :-(
