I suppose I might take prognostications like this seriously if market share for home automation, distributed audio, lighting control and service provider fiber based deployments market share were currently in the double digit range and growing at double digit rates- until then, its pure pontification driven by casual deskjocky observation. 5 years, seems more like 20 = :-(
What could have been the basis for an excellent piece on the real future of IP based systems ending up being an article neither humorous nor insightful.
Sounds like the rants of a bunch of control freaks to me and also like it wouldn’t be much fun.
