Solar Powered Songs
Eco-conscious singer Jack Johnson releases an album made with solar energy.
image You’ve probably heard Jack Johnson’s music on pop radio, specifically his hits “Bubble Toes” in 2002 and “Upside Down” in 2006. He’s also the voice in the music to the children’s film “Curious George.” Now the mellow acoustic strummer has a new album, Sleep Through the Static, which is leading the way environmentally. That’s very cool. I never heard much Jack Johnson until I borrowed In Between Dreams (2005 release) from the library last week, and have pretty much been listening to it non-stop.

Aside from the great tunes, the packaging is printed on recycled paper, and brushfirerecords.com and onepercentfortheplanet.org are listed prominently on the back.

I’ll definitely have to check out this new release. Good stuff.

My son (and I) LOVE the “Curious George” soundtrack. The whole thing is Jack Johnson. I highly recommend it!
