As someone who has worked at tradeshows of this kind for almost 20 years, I applaud these initial efforts to mitigate the environmental impact of shows like CES. Hopefully the next step will be to address the phyisical waste generated by the exhibits themselves: the packing and shipping materials, carpets, and other elements of the booth displays.
Carbon offsetting is a great start!

If they use more portable displays it will ease the problem…i believe…
