If you’ve been having problems with your new Onkyo product, you can stop cursing at it. The company wants to make things right.
According to Twice, Onkyo is offering free repairs on select AV receivers, as well as some receiver/speaker packages. The company says that the components in question were made during November 2011 and January 2012, and suffer from “non-safety-related defects.”
Those problems could include noise at low levels or problems with the AVR shutting down on its own.
The receivers in question include the TX-8255, TX-8050, HT-RC360, TX-SR309, TX-NR609, TX-NR709, TX-NR809, TX-NR1009 and TX-NR5009. The speaker packages include the HT-S3400 with the HT-R390 receiver, the HT-S7409 with the TX-NR609 receiver, and the HT-S8409 package with the TX-NR609 AVR.
If you’re wondering whether you should seek assistance, check out Onkyo’s special web page and fill out the form. Customers can also call 800-229-1687 and select option 3. Boxes and prepaid shipping labels are also available, upon request.
