Adding wireless technology into your home theater is becoming all the rage these days—and we couldn’t be more thrilled. It really makes it so much easier to tap into the wealth of web-based entertainment that’s currently available.

Hot on the heels of last week’s Integra announcement, Onkyo says it will unleash to AV receivers with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. The 7.2-channel TX-NR828 Network AV Receiver will start selling in June, with the 9.2-channel TX-NR929 Network AV Receiver following a month later.

Both receivers are THX Select2 Plus-certified, with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth technology. Other features include 4K Ultra HD pass-through, 4K with Qdeo processing from Marvell, MHL support, InstaPrevue video switching technology, Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro Logic IIz.

The TX-NR929 is a standout, with support for a 9.2-channel setup. However, it also has other perks, including 11.2 multichannel pre-outs and DTS Neo:X, as well as MultEQ XT32, nine HDMI inputs and two outputs. The TX-NR828 has Audyssey MultEQ, eight HDMI inputs and two out.

That 9.2-channel receiver also has three 192kHz/24-bit TI Burr-Brown DACs, Onkyo’s WRAT (Wide Range Amp Technology) and discrete Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry.
Onkyo has priced the TX-NR828 and TX-NR929 at $1,099 and $1,399, respectively. As previously mentioned, the TX-NR828 will be available in June, with the TX-NR929 coming sometime in July.
