Now that you’ve got the 3D TV, it’s time to prepare some of your other setup for the new technology. Onkyo has you covered, with the announcement of the complete HT-S9300THX home theater system.
Well, almost. This kit does come with seven loudspeakers, a 12-inch subwoofer, and a 3D-ready receiver. The only thing it seems to be lacking is a Blu-ray 3D player, right?
Still, if you are looking to upgrade, this setup allows you to replace many of your existing components in one shot. Also, Onkyo is nothing to sneeze at—even THX knows it. That’s why this system has THX I/S Plus certification. Aside from the I/S (which stands for “integrated system”) extra, the system also includes THX Surround EX, various THX listening modes, and THX Loudness Plus.
Designed to work with all TVs and other A/V equipment, the system is compatible with the new side-by-side and top-and-bottom 3D formats. The receiver has four 3D-ready HDMI 1.4a inputs to hook up all of your new 3D-enhanced goodies. It can also upscale video and supports all of the latest audio formats, including Dolby ProLogic IIz.
Other features include Onkyo’s own Music Optimizer, as well as Audyssey 2EQ room acoustics correction technology, Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume processing.
Expect the HT-S9300THX to be available this month for about $1,099.
