Onkyo wants to give you a little something to stuff into those stockings. The company just announced a pair of headphone products, which will ship just in time for the holidays.
The ES-CTI300 on-ear and IE-CTI300 in-ear headphones are both specifically designed for use with iOS devices. Each set has a detachable oxygen-free 6N copper cable with iOS-certified controls. Those three buttons allow you to play and pause tracks, surf through music, accept and reject calls, and control volume. There’s even a sensitive microphone for making and taking calls.
The ES-CTI300 is available in two versions, with two 40mm titanium drivers backed by high-capacity bass chambers. The ES-CTI300(SS) sports a silver finish with leatherette earpads, while the ES-CTI300(BS) comes with a black finish with matching earpads.
For something slightly smaller, the IE-CTI300 has a 14.3 mm dynamic driver and aluminum/ABS hybrid enclosures.
Onkyo will start selling the ES-CTI200 and IE-CTI300 in December. Expect prices to be listed at $199 and $149, respectively.
