Onkyo’s TX-NR1008 3D-ready Receiver will ship at the end of July for $1,399.
Onkyo, which recently announced it will begin selling select products through Walmart.com, has introduced three 3D-ready network receivers.
The TX-NR1008 (9.2-channel), TX-NR808 (7.2) and TX-NR708 (7.2) each have seven HDMI 1.4a connections and are THX Select2 Plus Certified. Onkyo released three entry-level, 3D-ready receivers in March.
The receivers, which are Windows 7 compatible and DLNA 1.5 certified, include a rear-panel Ethernet port so they can be used with the Internet or a home PC. Supported streaming services include Pandora, Rhapsody, vTuner, Sirius Internet Radio, Napster, Mediafly, and more.
All three receivers have an iPhone/iPod-compatible front-side USB port that allows on-screen display of album art and navigation via the included remote.
The TX-NR1008 and TX-NR808 include Onkyo’s bi-directional and customizable preprogrammed remote control.

The TX-NR1008 adds one extra HDMI output, as well as ISF video calibration controls and an extra 192 kHz/24-bit Burr Brown DAC for multi-channel audio processing.
The TX-NR708 and TX-NR808 will ship the beginning of July for $899 and $1,099, respectively. The TX-NR1008 will ship at the end of July for $1,399.
