The clients originally built this home in 2000. In 2003, the need for entertainment was strong, so they called in Francis Custom Theaters. 

The installer brought in a 16-zone keypad system from ADA, and a CAT/ADA home theater system in the family room. However, only half of the keypad system is utilized; it’s ready for expansion without the need to change any of the electronics.

CAT was chosen for the family room because they custom-build speakers per customer-application. In this case, custom surround speakers were cut into the wall (with the enclosures) without the need for paint or drywall repairs.

The use of CAT loudspeakers in the entertainment cabinet eliminates the buzzes and rattles usually associated with speakers mounted inside cabinets because of their mass—the speakers don’t vibrate at all!
