Okoro Media Systems’ Loaded ‘Entry-Level’ CX100 Cablecard System
The CX100 from Okoro is priced at $1,795, with 320 GB of storage, and optional hard drives to add up to 4 terabytes.
November 05, 2007 | by Arlen Schweiger

“Entry level” means different things to different people. When it comes to one of Okoro Media Systems’ digital entertainment systems, its entry-level cablecard unit rings in at $1,795—it is pretty loaded with features too for entry level.

The CX series, with the OMS-CX100 being the first model available in the line, comes with HDCP compliant video, Dolby Digital audio, Intel Core 2 Duo technology and an ATI Digital Cable Tuner.

There’s also a 320-GB hard drive storage, with up to 4 Terabytes of storage available via 4 1-TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drives (optional), a 16x CD/DVD +-/RW dual layer writer and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. It can record HD cable content and even Blu-ray and HD DVD playback (the Blu-ray and HD DVD drive is required to do so).

You can pop in the newest games for the 2.3GHz Intel processor and Nvidia 8500 GT video board to handle, and then switch over and use the cablecard for HDTV viewing, pausing, recording. When you’re all set with gaming and viewing, fire up any of your CDs or MP3 files to relax and listen to.

You can customize your home theater PC at Okoro’s web site at www.okoromedia.com.
