Still on the fence about buying a projector? Ölens is making it affordable with the XPJ Personal Entertainment Projector.

Designed to provide an affordable alternative to that expensive home theater, this unit costs a mere $279. No, that’s not a typo.

What does $279 get you in a projector? Apparently, it boasts a 640 x 480 resolution and can project a 70-inch image from any DVD player, gaming console, iPod or other video source. Sure, it’s not the mack-daddy picture we’ve seen in some home theaters or demos. However, for that price, some might be willing to settle—or even add a projector to the backyard.

The company says you can get 300 hours on one bulb, which seems kind of lame. However, replacements only run 30 bucks—and they even throw in a backup bulb with your original purchase.

Other features include a VGA Connector, composite and S-Video connections, built-in speakers, and a remote control. Optional wall-mounting strips and a roll-up screen can be had for another $30.
