Essentia consumes less than 1 watt of power in standby, exceeding the EnergyStar requirements for standby power consumption.
Going “green” is the in thing in CE land lately—just not the color green. No one wants to see that in their A/V cabinet.
Following the environmental trend, NuVo has gotten its Essentia multiroom audio system the EnergyStar seal of approval.
So even though you forget to shut off lights and leave the TV on for the dog, the Essentia EG6 will only use 1 watt of electricity when in standby mode. Other features include a sleek new Control Pad made partially of polycarbonate material for a durable, scratch-free surface.
The system can provide six sources to up to six zones, with 40 watts per zone. It can also be expanded up to 12 zones. Essentia Control Pads can be used with the company’s Grand Concerto system; four different color trim plates are available.
It’s nice to see CE companies turning all environmental. Now maybe next time you crank up the music, the lights won’t dim. It won’t drain the bank account either; the EG6 is available now for $2,299.
