Pack it up! The Niveus Cargo allows you to create a monster media library at home—and then access it anywhere there’s a web browser.

Based on the Microsoft Windows Home Server platform, this beast features up to 16TB of scalable storage—which includes all of your high-def content. Housed in a 3U rack-mountable chassis, the front panel has hinges, which makes for easy upgrades.

“To support the massive amounts of content that the Niveus Entertainment System accommodates, we needed to develop a larger storage device,” says Tim Cutting, Niveus’ CEO and co-founder. “With Cargo, our customers will be able to store large collections of their favorite movies, television, music, and photos. Additionally, with the host of data protection features built into the Windows Home Server platform, these collections are now protected from data corruption and personal loss.”

Once you have your content stacked in the rack, you can also access it remotely, from anywhere with a web browser. Niveus (and your installer) will provide you with a personalized web address.

Other features include scheduled backup, and support of VideoGiants movie packages.

Get ready to load up Cargo later this year.
