While you are trying to beat fellow shoppers to the punch (or with a punch) for the last Wii U in stores, you may want to save some of that strength. Apparently, the Wii Mini is on its way.
The hook on the new Wii Mini is that it’s “all about the games.” If you thought that any of the previous Nintendo consoles were just about gaming, you’ve been fooling yourself. Apparently, this new Wii Mini console has exclusive rights to putting the focus on Wii games.
Basically, that means that the Wii Mini won’t distract you with web access. Also, according to Engadget, this new model won’t be compatible with any of those GameCube goodies that you’ve been holding onto.
The Wii Mini comes in matte black with a red border, with a red Wii Remote Plus and a red Nunchuk. It should also work with any existing Wii accessories out there.
While there’s no word on when the Wii Mini will launch in the U.S., our neighbors to the north can start buying up the Wii Mini next week. It’s expected to launch in Canada on December 7, with an MSRP of $99.99.
