Are you ready to rock? No—I mean really rock. Better do some warm-ups because “Wii Music” has an entire orchestra to keep your arms flailing.

Now you won’t have to make room for a faux French horn or hurdy gurdy, but Nintendo plans to blow the strings off the “Guitar Hero” empire by allowing players to simulate up to 60 instruments.

Instead of all of the peripherals needed to rock “Rock Band,” this game uses the Wii Remote, the Nunchuk, and the Wii Balance Board to create your musical masterpieces. Play the guitar, piano, congas, and more. Up to four players can march or strum to the beat of any of the songs, or improvise.

Once you play something cool—or at least listenable—you can send your creation to other friends that have “Wii Music.”

“Wii Music” will be available in time for your holiday shopping frenzy. Check out some of the screenshots in our slideshow.
