Niles Audio is hoping to make beautiful music all over your house, with its newly announced MRC-6430 whole-home audio controller. The new product is designed to put six music different sources at your fingertips—in up to six different rooms.

The MRC-6430 is powered by the company’s Auriel software and can be accessed using the Auriel app for iOS and Android devices. That software can deliver control, but also puts in the possibility for future expansion into lighting, remote management and HVAC control. Besides the app, the system has other user-friendly control options, including a handheld remote, a seven-button keypad, and a choice of touchpanel devices, as well as Windows and Mac computers.

Once installed, users can listen to any source in any room at any time, even if someone is already rocking out in another room. The digital amplifier delivers 30 watts to each zone, with each area getting its own bass, treble and volume controls in the Auriel interface.

Promising an easy setup process, the MRC-6430 can be paired with the Niles DBI-2 interface so that the doorbell can even be part of the system. Larger homes can also opt for two MRC-6430s for a six-source, 12-zone system.

“With Auriel and the MRC-6430, we are making multiroom audio simpler than ever to install and use,” said Yann Connan, director of the audio segment for Core Brands, Niles Audio’s parent company. “The number one concern for buyers is that multiroom audio controllers are complicated, so we developed the Auriel software to show them just how accessible it can be. With any smartphone, tablet or Niles in-wall touchpanel, users can now quickly select what source they want to play and in which rooms they want it to play.”
