That HDTV mount is typically the add-on that slips everyone’s mind. It can be a major investment of both money and space. However, NextGen is hoping to ease some of that pain, with four new ultra-slim video display mounts.
None of the new models has a fancy name, but they certainly get the job done—and very affordably, we might add. The 1320 (MSRP: $24.95) works with TVs that are 17 to 37 inches, with a max VESA of 200x200. The 1340 model ($27.95) bumps the VESA up to 400x400 for screen sizes between 32 and 55 inches. Model 1342 ($29.95) can hold TVs between 42 and 60 inches, with a max VESA of 600x600. Last, but certainly not least, the 1344 ($31.95) can hold some of those larger HDTVs, between 42 and 70 inches, with a max VESA of 800x800.
Even better than the prices, each one boasts an install that’s as easy as hanging a picture. Besides the actual mount, each model comes with all of the hardware you’ll need to complete an installation into a variety of surfaces.
Looking at the mounts, each one has an incredibly stylish look, and a slim profile. Despite the cool looks, it’s not made to be shown, keeping the TV as close to the wall as possible. In fact, it could be too close. NextGen has a little something for those installs as well.
“With displays being slimmer and our display mounts placing them very close to the wall, the shallow space will make regular HDMI connections more difficult,” says Bob Dolatowski, NextGen’s president. “This is a great application for NextGen’s Twister ($19.95 MSRP), the only 360-degree HDMI connector that allows for perfect HDMI connections in the most limited of spaces.”
The Twister is currently available through NextGen’s website. The company says that all of the mounts are also available to order.
