New Zune Players Coming Soon
Microsoft is planning new colors and capabilities for its anti-iPod -- and it's all expected in October.

The current Zune comes in five colors, but only one shade of storage—30GB.

Hot on the heels of the new iPods, it looks like Microsoft might be updating the Zune too.

Engadget says they’ve got a bunch of crazy names like Zune 2 (OK, that’s not all that crazy), Draco, Scorpio, etc. Sounds like a series of bad colognes to me.

There will be flash-based ones and hard drive-based ones, smaller versions, more colors, 4GB or 8GB models, etc., so pick your poison. There’s not much other info except that they are expected to haunt your holiday shopping starting around October 16.

Sure there may not be too much info to get pumped up, but do you think this guy really cares?

I guess I’ll let you know I old I am by correcting you on your HAI Karate spelling…

Not too old (at least from what I see on the news)... just not interested.

Thanks for letting me know though! It reminded me of colognes like High Karate.

“Draco, Scorpio, etc. Sounds like a series of bad colognes to me.”  Uhh…I guess you must be too old to read Harry Potter?  (Draco Malfoy, and Scorpio Malfoy, who is Draco’s son referenced in the epilogue at the end of Deathly Hallows.)  They’re probably naming them after Harry Potter characters to try to attract that age group.

Unless it is compatible with the existing WMA Play-for-sure format it s doomed to failure, IMHO
