A few weeks ago, we were wondering what was going to be inside Microsoft’s next incarnation of their Zune digital music players.

Tuesday the company announced that three new models will be coming next month; two with flash memory, says CNET. The 4GB ($149) model is priced to stuff a stocking. The 8GB will be $199, but for another 50 bucks, you can get yourself a whopping 80GB of storage.

In case you’re comparing with friends, that translates to about 20,000 songs, 250 hours of video or 25,000 still photos.

The most interesting feature in the specs is the Wi-Fi support, which will allow users to sync up and share the best (and worst) of their portable music collections.

Other features include FM support, a better looking display, Zune Pad controls, and a variety of colors (not for the 80GB—it’s only in black). Microsoft must have learned from some mistakes, because they’ve also changed the software and the online music store.

All three models will be available next month.
