Stop hoarding all of your music selections to yourself. While some may be better off keeping music confined to their headphones, Creative wants you to share everything you’ve amassed on your PC—even with those listening on a portable.
The company just announced the ZEN X-Fi collection. Each of the two models holds music, video and photos, but the ZEN X-Fi With Wireless LAN throws in a few sharing possibilities. The unit can stream and download music from any PC on your home network.
Each unit also boasts a built-in speaker, an SD card clot, an FM radio, and X-Fi Crystalizer, Creative’s own audio technology, which promises to restore all of the audio quality lost during ripping to MP3, WMA or AAC formats.
The ZEN X-Fi with Wireless LAN is available now. The 32GB model is $300, with 16GB costing $200. The regular ZEN X-Fi has 8GB, and will be available later this month for $150. There are also plenty of accessories for each, including the TravelSound ZEN X-Fi Docking Speaker System ($50), which will be available this summer.
