Polk Audio is cranking out a pair of new Bluetooth speakers. The Camden Square is designed for portable use, with the Woodbourne being more of a little something that you’d want to leave on your tabletop. Both are part of Polk’s Heritage Collection.

The Camden Square gets its name from Camden Yards in Polk’s hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. It’s got a retro, etched metal top and chestnut sides. However, the sound is all Polk. Inside, it has four full-range high-performance drive units and two bass radiators.

Despite the historical vibe, the Camden Square has some very modern, very interesting features. The first of those is the promise of 24 hours of battery life. The speaker can also be paired with Polk’s DJ Stream app, which allows streaming from multiple sources. Other features include Digital Signal Processing and the option for horizontal and vertical use.

The aforementioned app is a pretty big deal, since it was specifically created for the Camden Square. Designed for use with iOS and Android devices, the app can make one user the DJ Host, all while welcoming up to three others to play DJ and stream their respective music libraries. From there, up to 128 other users can view the playlist, vote on music, and vie to become an Active DJ if one drops out.

Promising 180 watts of wireless sound, the Woodbourne includes optical and analog inputs for use with TVs. It also has both Bluetooth and AirPlay streaming features, all embedded in a mahogany and cream exterior.

“Camden Square and Woodbourne are two iconic wireless speakers embodying Polk’s classic aesthetic and sound that make listening to music a more shared experience,” said Al Baron, product line manager at Polk. “Bluetooth wireless technology enabled speakers are compact and convenient, but until now, they’ve only streamed music from one listener’s playlist. With Camden Square and its complementary DJ Stream app, users can compile and play music from up to four devices, making it easy to collaborate and share favorite tunes among friends and family.”

Both speakers are exclusive to now, with units coming to select Best Buy locations on November 3. The Camden Square has an MSRP of $299.95, with the Woodbourne priced at $699.95. The DJ Stream app is available now as a free download, via the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
