The next generation GefenTV 4x1 HD Switcher w/Audio Amplifier offers an integrated system that supports both audio and video devices and provides audio amplification. It switches between four hi-def sources using HDMI and outputs audio as 5.1 surround sound with 25 watts per channel amplification.
“It’s designed for optimal system processing before connecting to an amplifier or directly to speakers,” said Hagai Gefen, president. Gefen. “The 4x1 HD Switcher w/ Audio Amplifier makes a nice addition to any home entertainment system.”
The selected hi-def source delivers 1080p full HD video supporting 3DTV through the HDMI output to any display or projector. Multi-channel audio from the HDMI input is delivered either as 5.1 surround sound through standard RCA connectors or directly to speakers using the Switcher’s binding posts. Any device using HDMI can be connected, including Blu-ray players, Apple TVs, set-top boxes and gaming consoles.
Users can also select from three audio inputs supporting both digital (optical, coax) and analog (L/R) audio, which is delivered as 5.1 surround sound through the RCA connectors or the binding posts. CD players, MP3 players, laptops and iPods can all be connected through the digital and analog audio ports.
The 4x1 HD Switcher w/Audio Amplifier comes with a mini LCD on the front panel, which provides status information. Front panel buttons offer access to the on-screen display menu, volume and power control. An IR remote and RS-232 connectivity offer additional methods of control including 12v triggers for home automation integration.
