You want that TV out of the way and mounted above the fireplace or somewhere else in your living room. Only problem, when it’s on the wall, you’re straining to see it.

That’s where the tilting wall mounts come into play, and Chief Manufacturing is now shipping its CM8T15U model that goes one step further, essentially taking one step out of the easy-viewing process.

Chief’s universal automated flat-panel tilting wall mount works with your LCD or plasma display to operate right when you turn on the TV. That’s when it’ll begin tilting downward (if you want) with its motorized technology. And when you power the display off, the CM8T15U automatically goes back to the upright position that’s low-profile and flush with the wall.

The mount accommodates flat panels up to 60 diagonal inches (or 150 pounds), with an included IR remote control or optical sensor to help with the tilting. It can tilt up 2 degrees if need be, with the downward tilt to 13 degrees.

The company’s Glide Lock Latch offers tool-less locking to make the installation more convenient, and the CM8T15U will mount directly to studs, with mount dimensions of 23.6 x 29 x 3.6 inches.
