Bummed that Netflix‘s streaming video service seems to only have movies from the 70s and 80s? You got some good news today then when the rental giant teamed with Starz to announce the availability of 2,500 more choices.

That includes the likes of this year’s Oscar winner, “No Country for Old Men,” and other newer titles to fill your movie-watching needs.

Netflix seems to have been praised for its streaming “Watch Instantly” queue service, but the one negative reviewers note is the predominance of catalog content within the 12,000-plus movies and TV selections (the company’s overall DVD choices that can be mailed are around 100,000).

Starz will be adding 2,500 titles to this, with movies through its “Starz Play” broadband service that brings in movies like the Coen’ brothers’ award winner, “Superbad,” “Ratatouille,” “Spider-Man 3,” and even “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds” concert.

Starz says around 1,000 will be made available right away and the rest to come. All you need is the $8.99 or higher Netflix subscription plan and you’re good to go.
