You might have to wait an extra day for your Netflix movies. That’s because the company’s web site was down for about twelve hours on Monday.
Company spokesman Steve Swasey told the Associated Press that DVDs normally mailed Monday may not go out until Tuesday because the problem also hobbled some Netflix distribution centers.
Netflix was mum on what caused the problem and Swasey would not specify on the exact number of customers are affected.
This was the second-longest disruption for Netflix in its nine years. Netflix’s website was down for more than 18 hours last July when the Los Gatos-based company lowered its prices.
Netflix, Inc. is the world’s largest online movie rental service, serving more than seven million subscribers.
