NBC has already forgotten about iTunes; instead the network is focusing on providing its content to SanDisk.

SanDisk’s Fanfare service will soon offer NBC hits such as “Heroes,” “The Office” and “30 Rock.” The new service will allow users to download shows via the web, and play them back on SanDisk’s TakeTV set-top box, says Variety.

Sounds like someone is really trying to stick it to Apple, but will their plan work? There’s no word on pricing, but the rumor is that discounts will be applied for those buying multiple episodes or other bundles.

NBC recently severed ties its relationshop with Apple’s iTunes service. The network will start providing content via Fanfare starting in January 2008.
