The latest British audio invasion comes from Naim, and you’ll undoubtedly want to use it to enhance those old Beatles and Stones records.

Naim is delivering its NAIT XS stereo integrated amplifier for two-channel audiophiles to plug into, as it’s a 60-watts-per-channel version of the British manufacturer’s Supernait amp.

The slim but high-performance machine has six inputs, with a 3.5mm jack even reserved for the front panel so you can conveniently plug in an MP3 player.

If you’re looking to connect to a more audiophile-like source, the NAIT XS also features a powered input to use with an outboard phono stage.

The other four inputs include both DIN-5 and RCA connections. The unit includes a custom 380VA toroidal transformer that delivers separate power to the power amp section, preamp switching, front-panel circuitry and preamplifier analog circuits, the company says.

There’s also a resistor-buffered full-range subwoofer output so you can crank up the bass.

Look for an authorized Naim retailer to check out the $2,250 NAIT XS, and don’t forget to leave some space in your listening rack.
