Mvix’s MV-2500U portable high-def media player
Want to bring your entire movie and music collection over to your friend’s house? Mvix lets you do it with its new MV-2500U portable media playback device.
The MV-2500U is a high-def media decoder, capable of video playback up to 720p and 1080i. The little guy supports formats including: mpeg-1, mpeg-2, mpeg-4, DVD (VOB, IFO), DivX (3/4/5/6), Xvid, BivX, VCD (DAT) for PAL and NTSC systems.
The device can support HDDs as big as 250 GB, using its 2.5-inch PATA/IDE HDD, and it acts as any other external USB 2.0 hard drive when you hook it up to a PC, the company says.
With a nice black finish and dimensions of just under 5 x 3 x 0.5 inches, the MV-2500U is convenient to take anywhere. It even has an “ergonomically designed” IR remote control.
Mvix will start shipping the device early this month for $149.
