If you’re the kind of person who likes to try to avoid car crashes when possible, you might consider the Muso. This little device hooks into your iPod so you can command it with your voice—and not have to worry about scrolling and looking down at the screen to select songs or artists while you’re on the road, for instance.

The pocket-sized accessory connects to iPods and iPhones and syncs up to your iTunes library upon first use, so you can start telling it what you want to hear.

The DirectVoxx website says you can say stuff like “Play me some Led Zeppelin” or “Gimme jazz!” We’re not sure if it understands expletives or if you have to be really specific and say things like “Play me some Good Times Bad Times on Led Zeppelin’s Box Set Disc One.”

Apparently it can also work like Pandora when you say something like “Play me something like the last song.” We’re hoping the algorithms for that one don’t mean it a Frank Sinatra song will then lead to Frank Zappa just because they share the same first name. However it works, it sure sounds cool.

The device will feature a 10-hour battery life, too. MSRP is $159, and it will be on Amazon.com in December and at Best Buy in January.
