MusicGiants Participates in Tahoe Region Wildfire Relief Effort
The HD music download store has launched the Angora Fire Relief Fund Media Store, and is donating portions of sales to charity as well as hosting a charity boat parade.

With its proximity to the Lake Tahoe region, music download provider MusicGiants is doing its part to help that community as it deals with the widespread wildfire that has devastated much of South Lake Tahoe, CA. MusicGiants is leveraging its HD download store as a fundraising tool to aid in relief efforts.

While firefighters continue to try to contain the damaging wildfire this weekends, MusicGiants has launched the Angora Fire Relief Fund Media Store to generate recurring proceeds. Consumers can go to the online music store and buy a variety of high definition music downloads and a portion of sales will go directly to the Parasol Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Lake Tahoe community.
Additionally, on July 4, MusicGiants is hosting the first annual Incline Village Boat Parade, through which 100 percent of the boat registration fees will be donated to help the victims of the fire. South Lake Tahoe band Shameus, whose lead guitarist Scott Haygood lost his home and possessions in the fire. Those who wish to attend can register on the MusicGiants web site,, while those unable to attend can make donations to the Angora Fire Relief Fund on the MusicGiants website.
“As natives of the Lake Tahoe community, MusicGiants is devastated by this disaster and we are determined to do everything we can to help,” said Scott Bahneman, CEO of MusicGiants. “It is important that we use any and all of the resources we have, such as the online media store, to raise money and support for those affected by this great tragedy. We are hopeful that our contributions will provide some relief to the restoration of our community.”
