The TV technology is being broadcast over the Internet in all its high-def glory.

Those of you that needed a little extra from your HDTV in the form of Philips Ambilight are now spoiled for all other entertainment. It’s not a total loss.

TVPredictions.com says that Philips has teamed up with MSN Movies to offer movie trailers in Ambilight. Say what?

Basically the trailers are in high-def will full Ambilight backlighting. It’s kind of cool, but doesn’t hold a candle (or other lighting effect) to watching an Ambilight TV.

If you don’t feel like waiting for the 2-minute download or aren’t adventurous, standard-definition trailers are also available.

  • Trailers include full Amblight backlighting
  • Exclusive to MSN
  • 2 or 3 trailers added each week
  • Viewers can post clips to Windows Live Spaces
