For consumers who are bored with the same ‘ol, same ‘ol look of an MP3 player, prepare to get your bling on.

MediaReady, Inc. has started shipping its Blingplayer, what it calls a jeweled-out MP3 player, to electronics, clothing and jewelry retailers this month.

The Blingplayer comes in Dogtag or Skull’n'bones styles and the 2-GB basic player can hold over 30 hours of music or 16 hours of video, the company says. It also has a recordable FM radio.

The hip product, whose small, portable design is ideal for wearing around one’s neck, carries an MSRP of $199.
