Mozaex has made a name on multiroom servers and larger components. Now they are planning something a bit more personal. The company just announced the debut of BluWavs headphones.

These aren’t the type of headphones you’d want to slap on for a quick run. Instead, they are designed to deliver 7.1 HD Audio, via patent-pending technology and something called the BluWav ‘Blender’ Audio Console.

That extra piece will allow you to fine-tune the experience, via PLUSH (Personally Leveled Ultimate Surround Headphones) technology. This little perk boasts personalized listening, allowing the user to adjust volume and EQ levels on 10 discrete speakers.

Promising bit rates up to 27Mbps, BluWavs HD Audio is geared towards the discerning listener interested in 1080p video and 7.1 HD quality audio formats, including DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, and more.

BluWavs will launch with two models. BluWavs A10 can support analog inputs, while BluWavs AD10 is designed for use with both analog and digital HDMI inputs. Both models support 10 speakers per headset and two headsets when using the analog pre-amp input or by adding an optional headset amp for $595 (MSRP).

Each pair of BluWavs comes packing a single Headset and Blender Console. That Blender Console is available in a self enclosure or rack-mountable model. Additional headsets are sold separately for $895 each (MSRP).

“This product is actually a life-long goal of mine, which began about 40 years ago when I built my first pair of stereo headphones and more recently when I began to design a solution for my own hearing loss,” said Mozaex CEO Douglas Kihm. “I am thrilled to see from the initial feedback that BluWavs not only delivers HD surround sound audio that is many times the quality of stereo headphones, but that others like me appreciate being able to finally watch a movie without sub-titles and without disturbing other people.”

The company plans to show off BluWavs at the 2012 CEDIA Expo in Indianapolis from September 6 to 8. When the line starts shipping on November 1, BluWavs A10 will have an MSRP of $1,695 and BluWavs AD10 will be priced at $2,295.
