Over the past several months a number of manufacturers have left the media server category.

One company that’s relatively new to category however is Mozaex. Recently the Salt Lake City-based company introduced a new line of server products that incorporate the ability to play 3D Blu-ray discs, as well as several other forms of electronic media.

The company’s new 3D product line includes multiroom A/V distribution capabilities and single-room product solutions, and according to Mozaex CEO Douglas Kihm, the servers provide users with the ability to playback everything from streaming media, to basic functions like photo viewing.

“The Mozaex 3D system plays media, including 3D Blu ray, and DVD movies, CD and MP3 music, photos and on-demand Netflix movies and Pandora music among other online media,” he says.

Kihm also claims the line incorporates advanced technologies to keep users ahead of the technology curve. “Home theater consumers are tired of paying for today’s ‘ultimate media server’ only to find that it has become obsolete a few months later,” he says.

“The Mozaex 3D system is unmatched in quality and it is future safe.”

Retail pricing for the line starts at $4,795 for the Solo 1 3D 1TB (terabyte) all-in-one system. The company adds the entire line offers a 3D upgrade option of $500 per component.
