Want some bling for your ring? The Motorola Aura isn’t encrusted in diamonds, but it does provide a certain status symbol.

That’s because this new cell is priced at a cool $2,000. Kind of expensive, considering it’s going to get dropped seven to 700 times. Maybe the Aura provides an aura—of wealth, anyway.

Yahoo! Tech says that the unit has “a Rolex-like manufacturing process,” which means it takes like two weeks to crank one out. The end result has a 16 million color, circular LCD display with 300-dpi resolution, a stainless steel enclosure, a scratch-resistant 62-carat sapphire crystal lens, and over 700 other little items inside working together to make your calls sound and look good.

It may look pretty on the outside, but the inside doesn’t have anything to empty your bank account over. The quad-band GSM/EDGE unit has a 2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth support, MPEG-4 video, MP3 and WAV audio, and 2GB of internal storage.

If you’re a cast member of HBO’s “Entourage,” it may be a necessity. Otherwise, eh. Either way, you can snag your own Aura starting December 4.
