Home control and automation systems often play subtle roles behind the scenes of more glamorous audio/video systems. Home theaters and killer speakers are the eye and ear candy of a home, but the controllers and programming that make those devices work is often a lot more cutting edge and impressive. Here we’ve selected some of the more unusual and over-the-top home control applications featured on Electronic House throughout the past year.
