Mordaunt-Short’s Mezzo 8 is the latest and longest in the Mezzo speaker line.
The Mezzo line needed some muscle, so Mordaunt-Short has released the Mezzo 8.
This tower of power is a 3-way floorstanding speaker with a 25mm dome tweeter, one 5.25-inch midrange and two 6.5-inch bass Continuous Profile Cone drivers. Each one has Aspirated Tweeter Technology (ATT), which promises even the tinest detail from the biggest speakers.
It may be a big boy (although we don’t know exactly how big), but the 8’s larger cabinet provides lower frequencies, while the curved design aids in positioning the unit in any environment. If the light oak and dark walnut finishes don’t match your decor, the Mezzo 8 has a removable magnetic grille for an invisible fit. It also shares the same footprint as the smaller Mezzo 6.
There are plenty of Mezzo models are currently available, from small cabinets to subs, starting at $499 per pair. The Mezzo 8 will run $2,495 per pair.
