Did Monitor Audio have the “original compact audiophile sub/sat?” We don’t want to debate, just celebrate—the company’s latest Radius HD offerings.

Designed to slip into any space and decor, the new set includes ultra compact satellites, plasma on-walls, floorstanding loudspeakers, and even powered subwoofers. Each one promises more versatile mounting options, new fancy finishes, and a better performance. Now that’s a total overhaul! The new options include:

The Radius R45HD: The tiny R45HD is the perfect satellite speaker for front left-center-right and rear surround theater use. It features a combo 3-inch MMPII cone bass driver and a rear-firing 0.75-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter. ($330 per pair)

The Radius R90HD: Featuring a 4-inch MMPII bass driver and a 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter, this micro monitor includes a bracket for easy wall or ceiling mounting. ($450 per pair)

The Radius R180HD: It takes up a little more space, but the R180HD also pumps out more bass and sound. It can be installed horizontally or vertically and used as a main, a rear or a center-channel speaker. ($250 each)

The Radius R225HD: At 24 inches high, this slim speaker is designed to match many of today’s 40- and 50-inch flat panels. It has two 4-inch MMPII bass drivers and a 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter, and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. ($400 each)

The Radius R250HD: A curvy profile and a 30-inch height make this unit stand out amongst even the sexiest flat TVs. Two 4-inch MMPII bass drivers and a 1-inch CCAM gold dome tweeter providing bass right down to 50 Hz make it a perfect choice as a center-channel speaker. ($450 each)

The Radius R-One-HD: Billed as a complete departure for Monitor’s design, this unit is inspired by single-cabinet front L-C-R theater solutions. Each unit features twin 4-inch MMPII bass drivers and a 1-inch CCAM gold dome tweeter in the center-channel section, and a single 4-inch MMPII bass driver and 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeters in left- and right-channel sections. ($800 each)

The Radius R270HD: This unit combines twin 4-inch MMPII bass drivers and a 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter in a slim floor-standing speaker. ($1,000 per pair)

The Radius R360HD: This super-compact powered subwoofer combines an 8-inch downward-firing driver and a 100-watt amplifier. It boasts variable crossover frequency control from 40Hz-180Hz, 0-180 degree phase switch, stereo and LFE RCA inputs, silicone rubber anti-resonance feet, and two EQ settings for music or video program optimization. ($600 each)

The Radius R370HD: This nifty subwoofer offers a 10-inch CCAM down-firing driver and a 250-watt amp to reach down to 28Hz. ($800 each)

The Radius R45HD, R90HD, R180HD, R360HD, R370HD, and R270HD are available in five finishes. The Radius R225HD, R250HD, and R-One-HD are just in black, white, and silver piano lacquer veneers. There’s also optional RHD Floor Stands available for $225 per pair. Everything will be available in October.
