Monitor Audio’s Vector Series
If you’re putting a compact 5.1 speaker system into your media room, you probably want to be immersed in the sound but not have to worry about the aesthetics of the room being compromised—a big reason why in-walls and in-ceiling models have become popular.
British manufacturer Monitor Audio has taken the worries away with its Vector Series of compact speakers and subwoofer. They’re not in-walls, but they’re minimalist and classy in their styling so you don’t mind having them as part of your room’s decor.
Highlighting the design is the MDF front baffle coated in rich high-gloss black, or high-gloss white, lacquer, to go with a screw-less fascia for a truly clean design.
The Vector Series consists of V10 wall-mountable satellite speakers, matching center-channel V20, and compact 100-watt active VW-8 subwoofer.
The V10 and V20 include 4-inch drivers with MMPII cone technology and 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter, and can handle frequencies from 65 Hz to over 30 kHz, says Monitor. The VW-8 also features the rigid MDF construction of the satellites, with a forward-firing 8-inch driver and 100-watt class A-B amplifier.
The Vectors will be available in March (distributed in North America through Kevro International) with MSRPs of: $225/pair for the V10, $149 for the V20 and $399 for the VW-8.

The woven acoustic screen is now available in a retractable, masking version.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
