You can take the products out of the Apple Store, but can you take the entire concept to a whole new level? That’s what the MODIA Home Theater Store is shooting for. The company just announced plans to become an Apple Authorized Reseller, as well as put Apple’s products inside all seven of its stores in Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
“We see this as a perfect match,” said Mihir Mody, CEO of MODIA Home Theater. “Apple is the gold standard in product innovation, design and marketing. At MODIA we’ve spent years creating a unique retail environment designed to help customers imagine and understand how technology can be seamlessly integrated into their distinct home and office lives. We strive to enhance the individual, emotional connection people can have with lifestyle technology… and Apple is masterful at providing an integral, elegant link.”
Of course, a lot of companies sell Apple products, but MODIA is hoping to show its customers how to integrate those products into today’s home and office environments. In other words, the retail space will show off security, audio/video, climate control, lighting, and other realms of the Electronic House, adding Apple products into the mix.
“This new relationship with Apple will now allow all of our customers to fully experience how Apple products can create a simplified, user-friendly and single-source interface that unifies all their lifestyle technology,” says Mody. “While the customer can buy Apple products at many other retailers, our plans are to present and demonstrate their entire line in a very unique way. MODIA is in a “hands-on, real-time” business. And this kind of showcase for Apple products simply isn’t available anywhere else.”
MODIA currently has stores in Houston, Austin, and Dallas. The company currently holds the number five slot on the CE Pro 100, an annual list of the largest custom electronics integrators in the United States. The CE Pro 100 is compiled by CE Pro, a sister publication to Electronic House.
