Just in case Santa didn’t leave a projector under the tree this year, Mitsubishi is trying to cushion the blow by offering a rebate on new purchases.

From now through January 31, 2008, those that purchase the HC4900 can get $500 back. That’s a whole lot of pork rinds for the Super Bowl.

The offer is only valid for 30 days after the purchase date. After you get the cash back, the total cost will be $1,995.

In case you need some enticing, the specs on the 1080p projector include 1,000 ANSI lumens, a 7500:1 contrast ratio, and a 19dBA noise level.
