Epson wasn’t ready to release the price on its new 1080p projector, but Mitsubishi is ready—and hoping you are too.

For under $4,000, they’ve got the HC6000, a true 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution projector designed for home theater users. Boasting the 3LCD projector’s performance with Blu-ray and HD DVD material, the company is promising improved auto iris function and a contrast ratio of 13,000:1.

Other features include 1,000 ANSI lumens, an HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) video processor, 1080i-to-1080p HD deinterlacing, 5,000 hours of lamp life, and two HDMI connectors

Expect the HC6000 to be available sometime next month.
