Mitsubishi Announces Projector Promotions
Not to be outdone by any retailer, the manufacturer is promising deals on three of its most popular projectors.
November 18, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

We keep hearing about all of the retailers releasing Black Friday pricing. Well, manufacturers want to make you a deal as well.

Mitsubishi just announced rebates on three of its most popular home theater projectors: the HC1600, HC5500 and HC6500.

“Mitsubishi is committed to making our home theater projectors even more affordable, particularly in these tough economic times,” said James Chan, said the company’s senior marketing director. “Our rebate program will be running through the end of the year, perfect for adding a little holiday cheer into the gift-giving spirit of the season as well as getting ready for championship football action.”

Buy the 720p HC1600 and you’ll score a $100 mail-in rebate, plus a free lamp, which is valued at $595. The MSRP is $1,000. The HC5500 will cost you $1,995, but has a $500 rebate. Features for this 1080p model include a quiet performance and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Finally, the 1080p HC6500 is part of the company’s Diamond Series. The price is $2,295, but you’ll get a $200 mail-in rebate. This one is only available at select retail outlets, such as Best Buy’s Magnolia stores or authorized Mitsubishi dealers.
