The CEDIA Expo, held earlier this month in Indianapolis, was loaded with cool A/V, control and networking products to look at. These three caught my eye instantly for their unique designs.
1. I can’t really say I’ve ever wanted to cuddle with an iPod dock … until I saw the AudioXperts’ EVA. Resembling a fuzzy pillow, it’s made partially of wool and bamboo, which makes it a green alternative. By the way, EVA stands for Environmental Audio. Several models are available, from $299 to $499.

2. The GSS10 subwoofer from Niles looks like it should be smoking a rack of ribs, not thumping out bass. Alas, most of it gets buried beneath the ground so that only a small pipe extrudes from the landscape. Pricing unavailable

3. Most wireless access points—especially the ones designed to mount to the ceiling—can stick out like a sore thumb. Not this WAP from Pakedge. Its super-slim profile makes it look like a smoke detector that’s been on a diet. Pricing unavailable
