Microtek has announced the launch of the new Cineon line of high-definition flat-panel plasma TVs in the United States through its North American subsidiary Microtek Lab, Inc.
Designed for high-end custom home-theater installations, the first two products in the Cineon line are the 42-inch CP42HA plasma HDTV and the 50-inch CP50HA plasma HDTV.
Each unit offers a full array of input including antenna ports for analog NTSC and digital ATSC tuners, composite video, S-Video, component video (YPbPr), computer RGB via VGA port, and HDMI.
The 42-inch CP42HA model has a 1024 by 768 native resolution, 1300 cd/m(2) brightness, and 10,000:1 contrast ratio. The 50-inch CP50HA model has a 1366 by 768 native resolution, 1000 cd/m(2) brightness, and 8,000:1 contrast ratio.

One is a subsidiary of DTS, with the other looking to gain traction via Indiegogo.
