Meridian and Sooloos can be controlled via the Control 10 touchscreen
British manufacturer Meridian Audio was the established superstar in digital audio playback. Sooloos was the rising superstar in digital audio servers. Yeah, together the combination makes for a killer all-digital music server and sound system, which Meridian turned into a reality back in December by acquiring Sooloos.
Now the company has debuted the Control 10 touchscreen interface, which bridges the systems together by also incorporating Meridian’s proprietary SpeakerLink/Comms Connectivity for seamless and slick integration.
The touchscreen itself features a gorgeous 17-inch screen that shows off your music collection with colorful album art for you to scroll through.
At the other end of the bridge stand Meridian’s vaunted digital speakers, preamp/controllers and music systems through which you’ll be able to drool over the high-resolution digital files you’ve ripped on Sooloos’ slot-loading CD drive. There’s also RS-232 for integration into home control systems.
Check with your local Meridian dealer on the availability of the $5,000 Control 10 touchscreen and complete high-performance Meridian/Sooloos digital marriage.
