Meridian just announced a stylish new subwoofer option, the DSW.
Designed to support a wide range of Meridian DSP Loudspeakers, the DSW can handle two-channel and surround systems, as well as the Meridian Digital Theatre. That DSW is very important though, as it stands for Digital Signal Processing. This is the company’s first true DSP subwoofer, promising to pack some punch into your music and movie experiences.
Packing a 12-inch driver, the DSW has a stylish enclosure that’s built to be seen. However, it’s also compact enough to fit into smaller spaces.
That DSP technology monitors signal, volume level, and temperatures, promising advanced bass and thermal protection. Meridian says this means that the DSW can be played louder and for longer.
Also, because the DSW features Meridian SpeakerLink connectivity, it’s easy to install and integrate with everything from Meridian Surround Controllers to the Audio Core 200 to other DSP Loudspeakers.
Meridian will start selling the DSW Digital Active Subwoofer this month. Expect to see a suggested retail price of $5,000 each for this one.
