Tired of attaching photos and sending massive-size emails to your friends and family? Maybe you don’t want everyone searching on your Flickr page or having to go through slideshow after slideshow online? Maybe you don’t want to upload to YouTube anytime you want to share a video?
Memeo wants some beta testers for its photo file-sharing service, which lets you do desktop-to-desktop media sharing.
Memeo Share gives users the ability to automatically send pics, videos and other documents straight to PC desktops. You don’t have to do anything to the files as far as editing, compressing or manually emailing and uploading. Your Mom can do whatever she wants to the file once she receives it—hey, some photos are better as black-and-whites.
After the Memeo Share program is installed, you create circles of friends and family members to whom you’d regularly distribute content. When you add content to your share folder, the software automatically sends it to others, who can preview it on your Memeo Share site online.
The company is limiting its beta testing to 200 sign-ups at www.memeo.com. The program is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
