Fans of high-end AV equipment know that they are getting something a little special with McIntosh. Well, you’d better start saving up, because the company just announced two new products designed to deliver the ultimate home theater experience.

The MVP891 Blu-ray offers playback of Blu-rays and CDs, upscaling of standard-def DVDs, and even the option to play both SACD and DVD Audio discs. Being a top-of-the-line product, it also has support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD digital-to-analog audio decoding with 7.1 channel analog outputs, as well as stereo digital-to-analog audio decoding with four dedicated fully balanced DACs per channel.

Featuring a USB memory stick reader, an RS232C interface and an Ethernet connection for BD-Live content and future software updates, the MVP891 will sell for $5,500.

If you’re in the market for an amp, the MC8207 Power Amplifier promises seven channels of power, at 200 watts per channel. Perfect for 7.1- or 5.1-channel setups, the McIntosh Dynamic Power Management circuit allows full power into both 4 and 8 ohm speakers.

McIntosh plans to sell the MC8207 Power Amplifier for $6,000.
