McIntosh’s TM2 AM/FM HD Radio Tuner Module
McIntosh has always been a premier name among audio enthusiasts, especially the two-channel crowd. If you still tune into the radio for big-time music selection, McIntosh Laboratory has it for its loyal fanbase in the HD Radio format now as well.
The company has introduced its TM2 AM/FM HD Radio Tuner Module for pristine “CD-quality FM performance” from the HD Radio, plus goodies like RDS Data for your artist, title and song info.
McIntosh president Charlie Randall noted the HD Radio broadcast awareness among radio listeners topping 75 percent as one of the factors in yielding the new module.
The TM2 is plug-and-play for easy incorporation in McIntosh’s recently shipped MA6600 integrated amplifier, which becomes the company’s first stereo receiver offered in 15 years when you add in the TM2.
Other features of the $800 module include Blend to select between auto, digital-only or analog-only modes, as well as a remote, Dual-Differential AM antenna so your favorite talk stations can approach FM quality.
